Welcome!

I go by 'Sir' online.

(but you also may know me as "YourDireSir", "DiarSerOUY", or some shuffle of these two)

Do my classmates drink more hot chocolate when stressed?

I'm trying to find out! Every day I'm recording the availability of hot chocolate at the two coffee machines in my school, hoping to one day make a small social study about the impacts of these machines on the student's morale

My dumb ass tried to port the Settlers of Catan to python

Let's just say it's been half a year and I think I may be retarded.

LOOK AT MY RICE YOOO LOOK AT MY RICE

What do you think I was doing instead of porting the Colonizers of Catan??? THAT'S RIGHT, I USE ARCH WITH HYPRLAND BTW.

A bit about me

Hi again. I'm a Ukrainian teenager living in the beautiful Swedish city of Gothenburg. I moved here in the 2022, partially unrelated to the start of the full-scale invasion.

I love programming, electronics, egineering, physics, ML, and all things nerdy. I crave knowledge! ;3

Here's a more detailed list of my interests in every category:
Programming:

  • C++! I study it in highschool, and I am fascinated by how computers work on a low level. I do think that Rust is an overall better language, but for fuck's sake, can the community stfu?
  • Python. It's simple and effective!
  • Bash... I don't know it too well, but I had to write a billion scripts for my hyprland rice... We're in a love-hate relationship.
  • Electronics are another interest of mine that I study!

  • I love dissasembling shit! Like that old WW2 era radio that I strted dissasembeling in October of 2025.
  • Soldering is another thing that I enjoy doing even though I'm ass at it (flux is a fuck, I love inhaling soldering smoke and shit 24/7). My dad owns several nice kits for soldering though.
  • Engineering. I just like engineering, really. I go to a highschool that's focused on engineering, I watch engineering content, and I design stuff from time-to-time. Rest assured that I'll opensource all of my engineering work here! Also, I love aircraft and rockets, even though I don't want to learn any names...

Physics... I was considering a careeer in physics at some point, but I think I prefer engineering. Astrophysics, nuclear physics, particle physics, all that.

Machine learning. Me and my dad own a Jetson Orion Nano, and we strive to put it to good use one day... I would love to learn more about ML, but it takes a lot of time and effort. I think I know a lot of the foundational concepts, but my math's lacking...
